The Library is open once again. Over the last few weeks, students have visited the library and have begun signing out books.

We appreciate your assistance in reminding students about caring for books and returning them on time throughout the school year.

Students can view our school library catalog, reserve books and access digital resources from home through the Library Learning Commons (LLC) using their PAL ID http://library.wrdsb.ca

Pizza Days

The Power of Being a Girl

The Power of Being a Girl Conference will be held on October 21st, from 9:00am to 2:30pm for all Grade 8 girls and female-identified youth. Power of Being a Girl is a girls-only conference designed to promote healthy self-confidence and develop skills for coping and resiliency in young women. The focus of this year’s conference is on healthy coping skills and holistic health and well-being. Registration is $10 per person and includes lunch. Please contact Mrs. Evelyn to register.

Terry Fox Run

Our annual Terry Fox run is scheduled for this Thursday, Sept 29th during middle block. The students will be walking/running in the memory of Terry Fox. We are fundraising for the Terry Fox Foundation, our goal as a school is to raise $600. Help us reach our goal by bringing in a loonie throughout the week.

Greening Ceremony

Join the staff and students Wednesday Sept 21 for our Greening Ceremony! We will be launching the new green space and celebrating with a ribbon cutting. Former principal Leslie McNabb will be in attendance as well as our new Administration, members of the school board and city alderman Shannon Adshade. The event will begin at 2pm. Say Hi Day

The Waterloo Region Crime Prevention Council (WRCPC) is pleased to announce the 10th annual “Say Hi Day” at schools across the Waterloo Region on Thursday, September 22, 2016.

Say Hi Day encourages students to say “Hi” to peers, teachers and staff within the school in an effort to get to know each other, be more inclusive and understanding of others, connect with each other and as a result create stronger, safer school communities.
