School bus delays, cancellation and school closures due to inclement weather will also be announced on the Board’s website (wrdsb.ca) and local radio stations. Please do NOT call the office!

Frigid Temperatures
Frigid Temperatures are considered those where the temperature is –35°C with wind-chill or colder. In this situation buses will not operate and schools will be closed. For temperatures at -20°C with wind-chill colder, the school will be open; however, students will remain indoors during the school day. During the winter season, we ask that your child wear appropriate clothing to school (such as hats, scarves, mittens/gloves snow pants and coat) as the weather can be unpredictable and a sunny morning can turn into a blistery afternoon.
